Lake Tahoe Ski Resorts

Heavenly Mountain Resort

Located on Lake Tahoe's South Shore rests the highest peak for snowboarding and skiing, at nearly 11,000 feet Heavenly Mountain Resort offers spectacular views of both California and Nevada to go with their world-class terrain. With a vertical drop of 3500 feet and 91 trails spread over an expansive 4800 acres serviced by thirty lifts spanning two states, Heavenly is the premier ski resort destination in Lake Tahoe. Encompassed in their terrain are four freestyle skiing and snowboarding parks containing rails, boxes and varying jumps with distinct skill levels designated for each and a 22-foot wide superpipe. Also beginning in the '06 season, Heavenly is opening their High Roller Nightlife park on the base of the California side which operates from 5pm until 9pm on the weekends and accessible with a day ticket for those who enjoy their freestyling under the lights.

The amenities that Heavenly offers are truly unsurpassed in Lake Tahoe. Heavenly has partnered to completely revamp all of South Lake Tahoe transforming it into a first class resort community with exquisite lodging, shops, restaurants and bars to enjoy after a day on the slopes. South Lake is now open 24 hours a day on the Nevada side featuring casinos, clubs and nightlife that really deserve more than just one day to explore. While on the mountain, after a jaw dropping 5.5 mile run, skiers can relax at one of the many lodges and Heavenly continues to be family friendly with their renowned facilities and schools.

There is absolutely nothing in the world like dismounting the lift or cable car at Heavenly's summit and being mesmerized by the breathtaking views of the Nevada desert on one side and the deep pristine blue of Lake Tahoe on the other. But those scenes are quickly dashed away once the runs begin down the groomed and deep powder mountain that truly is a skiers' and snowboarders' dream.
